Janine Mison is a plus size style and fashion expert but prefers to be known as a plus size Ambassador because she KNOWS the challenges faced every day by real women in Australia.

After years of experiencing the frustration associated with finding plus size clothing that also looked and felt good, she decided to stand up and let her voice be heard in the fashion world.

Her message is clear. There is no reason why real women shouldn’t have the same access to quality, beautiful and well fitted garments that other women enjoy. Her mission is to give real women of Australia a voice; and to help those designers and stores providing real women with options, meet the needs of their market.

More importantly, Janine strives to help real women come out from behind their baggy “I’ll wear this til I lose 10kgs” clothes and find value and love of who they are, in whatever shape and size they are, right now.

Today, Janine is the highly respected director of Real Women Australia, a portal where all women with curves can share their voice with hers, have plus-size resources at their fingertips and discover their inner diva. Following the launch of Curvy Revolution, an agency dedicated to presenting and representing “realistic & identifiable” women in the fashion media, Janine was chosen as one of the 100 most influential Melbournians of 2010 by The Age.  Janine was also awarded Momemtum Energy & 3AW's Small Business Success Award in June 2011.
