The Beginning - Jason Lock, Hummers4Hire and our winner Kara & friends
I had the pleasure of spending the day with Kara and her two chosen guests, Shiree & Kristy travelling in style with our personal chauffeur Jason from Hummers4Hire. The luxury of heated leather seats, a cool sound system and professional service set the scene for a great day out. Our first stop was to pick-up coffee/hot chocolates to warm us up on a cold winters day. From there we headed to the south-east of Melbourne to Lisa’s Lacies for a well needed bra-fitting – essential to a girl’s wardrobe – and ensured the foundations were set for some great garment shopping. Big In Black was our next stop where we had a lot of fun searching for some fabulous gowns for a wedding the girls are attending later this year – tick! Lunch in Abbotsford (or rather brunch – we all chose yummy breakfasts and coffees to warm us up) before moving on to the fabulous TS14+ outlet store where we spent hours having fun styling all the great garments on offer and grabbed some fabulous bargains…. Styling advice and bargains were the top of our list on this day and a great day was had by all. A very big thank-you to Jason for his great service & humour and making this competition possible.

Competition Winner - Wardrobe Revamp & $500 virtu wardrobe - August 17th, 2010

Jessica’s entry read: “Help by the age of 30 I had 3 girls. Since becoming a mum I’ve lost all sense of self, confidence and FASHION. I’m stuck in a mummy-rut. I want my girls to see their mum as a strong, beautiful confident woman and to grow and become one themselves”.
What a deserving winner, it was time to empower Jessica to ensure that she has a positive body image that is modeled for her beautiful girls! I spent a wonderful afternoon with Jessica last week. Once the doors of the wardrobe were thrown open and after a cup of tea to relax us into it, it became obvious that Jessica had the tools to Make the MOST of who she is TODAY, she was just styling it incorrectly. Because Jessica’s body shape had changed, she was confused as to how to show her figure to it’s maximum potential. We had a lot of fun trying a whole combination of options with her existing wardrobe, we identified a “throw out” pile and another “alter” pile but the bulk of her wardrobe was to keep as it is. Jessica and I took a few pictures (again excuse my lack of photography talent!) to illustrate how wearing your clothes can change how you look:

With the styling sorted and a small “gap” list identified (including belts! Which Jessica hadn’t worn for years!) Jessica and I will be visiting the wonderful ladies at www.virtushop.com.au next week to happily spend her $500 voucher to stock her wardrobe full of wonderful styles to suit her newly found shape! "I was humbled and excited to be selected by Janine as winner of a Wardrobe Revamp competition which also included an extremely generous shopping voucher from www.virtushop.com.au. I am a young mum to 3 little girls under the age of 5 and my whole world revolves around them. My body had changed dramatically since becoming a mum and my fashion choices were centred on what was comfortable, mostly jeans with a top. Half of my clothes I had donated because they didn't fit me anymore, and when I would go shopping I would always come home empty-handed and depressed because nothing would fit right.
My experience with Janine was wonderful. She was warm and funny and I was instantly at ease. We went through my wardrobe and I was amazed at how quickly her eye put outfits together. We had fun dressing up and putting together variations of basic outfits. Janine showed me some wonderful ways of accessorising the clothes that I had and I even learnt how to wear a belt! My mummy wardrobe and my confidence was transformed and rejuvinated without spending a cent! I've rediscovered clothes that I'd worn only once and now I know how to make the most of what I have. Janine helped me take pride in myself again and the results have been instantly noticed by my girls ("Mummy, you look so pretty!" and my very happy husband! :)

Jaclyn was thrilled when she received my call to advise she was our lucky winner! Her winners' day was scheduled for a week's time.
Jaclyn presented to the wonderful Blush Photography Studio in The Como Centre, Melbourne with anticipation and excitement, and she wasn't disappointed! With the skillful team at Blush, Jaclyn was welcomed with a glass of champagne and was offered styling assistance with her wardrobe choices. Once the outfits were selected for her shoot, she was pampered with the full makeover treatment... one "look" at a time, Jaclyn ventured into the studio to be snapped... the feedback from the photographer was Jaclyn settled into the role of model readily - she's a natural!
'' As the winner of the competion I was so excited and shocked all at the same time! The day had come for my photoshoot, I was kind of nervous but excited about it too. Once I arrived and started the shoot all my nerves went out the window and i just had a ball doing it!
The staff at Blush are so friendly and make you feel so comfortable. I was really amazed how the pics turned out. It was so hard choosing only 10 pics out of the 57 I had taken.
i would love to thank Janine and Blush Photography for the terrific prize. I always wanted to do something like this but never got up the nerve. I would recommend this experience to everyone - treat yourself -you will be amazed! I know I was."
